PATRICIA MANSFIELD Obituary

PATRICIA L. MANSFIELD, 78, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, 10:38 a.m., at Swiss Village Nursing Center. Born July 14, 1932, in Decatur, she was a daughter of the late Andrew B. and Alice (Kriegel) Appelman. She married William H. Mansfield on Jan. 6, 1953. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She was the Clerk-Treasurer for the city of Decatur for 12 years. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, William H. Mansfield of Decatur; four sons, Scott Mansfield of Las Molinos, Calif., Mark (Lynn) Mansfield of Everett, Wash., Mike (Lisa) Mansfield of Marysville, Ohio, and Brett Mansfield of Casselberry, Fla.; one daughter, Kelly Jo (Chad) Everett of Burlington, Ky.; three sisters, Miriam Stevens of Colorado Springs, Colo., Norma "Tommy" Yost of Decatur and Andrea (Tony) Allison of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Lynn Marie and Anthony Joseph Mansfield; and stepmother, Bessie (Faurote) Appelman. Prayer service 9:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2001, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Father David Voors officiating. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home, with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery.
