NEWMARKET - Robert J. Rubino, 76, of Grant Road, went on an extended fishing trip in God's hands on February 10, 2013, from the Exeter Hospital.

Born February 9, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Joseph and Jennie (Carruba) Rubino. Raised in New York he moved to Newmarket over forty years ago.

Bob worked for Northeast Airlines, which merged with Delta Air Lines, as a Customer Service agent. He was employed with Delta for 35 years and took an early retirement in 1993.

Bob spent his retirement years with American Marine of Newburyport, Mass, as a boat broker, and shared his extreme knowledge of every boat that was ever made with his customers. But his true love was his yearly fishing vacations with his beloved sons and fishing buddies. This guy thing resulted in many memorable photos showing smiles of catching the big one. And they did just that!

Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Adrienne (Arendt) Rubino, of Newmarket; 2 sons, Douglas Rubino and his wife Janet of Deerpark, Texas, and Daniel Rubino and his companion Patti Burton of Wakefield, RI; a brother, Joseph Rubino and his wife Eleanor of Islip, N.Y.; 2 nephews and 1 niece.

A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, from 3-7 p.m. at the Portsmouth Country Club, Country Club Lane, Greenland, N.H.

Rather than flowers, should friends desire, memorials may be made in Bob's name to the Newmarket Firefighter's Association, 4 Youngs Lane, Newmarket, N.H. 03857.
