Larry Abrecht Obituary
He was born May 4, 1958 in Charlestown, WV. and was the son of the late Franklin Abrecht Sr., and Myrtle Daily Abrecht.
He was a great father who enjoyed being with his family. He worked for Republic Services in Frederick, MD for 34 years and had a great work ethic. Larry enjoyed tending to his grass and always was so proud of his lawn. He was a perfectionist. He enjoyed attending his son's and grandsons baseball games and always cheered them on. You could say he was their number one fan. He was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Chase Elliott.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley Harris Abrecht, and they were married for 45 years. He is also survived by three children; daughters, Angela Gee and husband Jason, Jessica, and son Daniel, and partner Maria; three grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Jazmine Crummel, Kayla Vaughn, and Austin Vaughn, and two step-grandsons; Jasir Dotson-Gee and Asa Morrison; one great-grandson Elliott Vasquez, sister; Dianne Sears, and brother's; Charles Abrecht and wife Diana, Terry Abrecht and partner Shelva, and Jerry Abrecht. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Lark Abrecht, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parent's, he is preceded in death by his brother; Franklin Abrecht, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Sears.
A special thank you to Felicia and Erica of Frederick Health Hospice, for their kind care of Larry.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.
A celebration of Larry's life journey will take place at 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will follow immediately after services at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in Frederick, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Frederick Health Hospice, 1 Frederick Health Way, Frederick, MD 21701.
