Otis Waskey Obituary

Otis Cleveland Waskey, Jr., 81, passed away July 25, 2024. Otis was born in Lander, MD the son of the late Otis Cleveland Waskey, Sr. and Sophia Lavenia Cross Waskey. He was predeceased by his first wife, Patrica C. Waskey; brother, Charles Waskey and sisters, Louise Hood and Lana Brust. Otis was retired from US Civil Service having worked at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in IT Repair. He was a US Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. Otis was a member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (N.A.R.F.E.).

Otis is survived by his wife of 27 years, Karen Lee Kile Waskey; daughters, Regina G. Sanderson, Deborah A. Waskey (Richard Hutzler); son, Donald R. Waskey (Elizabeth); step-daughter, Kimberly A. Michele (Kevin); 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Gary Newsome officiating. A time of visitation will be held after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org/donate or Lake Prince Woods Benevolent Program, 100 Anna Goode Way, Suffolk, VA 23434.
