Ernest Alcocer Obituary
of Dearborn Heights - passed on December 6, 2020 at the age 88. Beloved husband of Marcella. Loving father of Dale (Terri) Alcocer, Brian (Evelyn) Alco- cer, and Julie Chapman. Dear brother of Ernestine Kerstetter. Also survived by many numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren . Ernest was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Anita Alcocer. Ernest was a vibrant and active person who enjoyed life to its fullest. As a young adult, Ernest was a member of the Air National Guard. Ernest played softball to the age of 75 and also participated in various track and field events. Ernest was also involved and participated in the Michigan and National Senior Olympics. Ernest was inducted to Dearborn Sports of Hall of Fame. Ernest was a 60 year member of the Cherry Hill Baptist Church as well as a life long member of the Masons. The family of Ernest would to thank all those individuals that helped with his care in the past recent years. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association. No formal services will be held at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements and cremation entrusted to the Dearborn Chapel Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 23701 Ford Rd., Dearborn, MI 48180.
