Donna Clare Stork, 89, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas.
Donna was born on Feb. 17, 1929, in the Lord Lister Hospital in Omaha to Clarence and Rose nee' Hansen Truelsen. Donna was educated at Mowinkel/LaBelle School in rural Sarpy County and she graduated from Gretna High School in Gretna. She attended Midland College and graduated from Lincoln School of Commerce.
On March 3, 1951, Donna was married to Eugene Stork at Trinity Lutheran Church. After he returned from the service, they made their home in Fremont.
Donna retired as Director of Dodge County Social Services after working with them for 30 years. She was a member of and held offices in Northeast County Welfare Directors Association and Nebraska Welfare Directors Association. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its TLW organization, Sarah Circle and Trinity Ladies Aid. She also volunteered for the Church's T.L.C. Day Care and later was employed by T.L.C.
Donna is survived by a son, Kendall (and wife Barbara) Stork of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; a daughter, Corrine Benish (and husband Randall) of San Antonio; two sisters-in-law, Lila Scheer and Deloris Stork, both of Arlington; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Stork on Jan. 14, 2000; and her sister, Sharon Randell on Feb. 8, 2018.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont with the Rev. Dan Heuer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. A luncheon and time with family will follow. Visitation at the church one hour before the service on Saturday.
A memorial has been established to Trinity Early Childhood Center.
