Walter Franklin "Bud" Green

FREMONT - Walter Franklin "Bud" Green 95 of Fremont, Nebraska passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Nye Square in Fremont. Bud was born February 10, 1929 in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska to Roy Franklin and Bessie Irene (Kinney) Green.
He grew up at Genoa, NE and graduated from Cedar Rapids High School in 1947. Bud married his high school sweetheart Betty (McKay) in 1950. Bud farmed in Cedar Rapids until moving to Scotland, South Dakota in 1963 when he became district sales manager for J.C. Robinson Seed Company. In 1975 he became Regional Sales Manager and moved to Valley, NE in 1977. He retired in 1994 after 42 years with Robinson. They moved to Fremont In 1999.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont and was a volunteer for Habitat For Humanity and the Dodge and Douglas County Food Pantries for 15 years.
Survived by sons, Bill (Sharon) Green, Valley, NE, Bob (Judy) Green, Scotland, SD and Dan (Sheila) Green, Mesa, AZ; son-in-law, Jim Machacek, Polson, MT; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents; wife Betty; infant daughter, Rebecca Green and daughter, Beverly Machacek; sisters, Elsie Green and Dorothy Pennington and brother, Harvey Green.
Memorial Service 10:30 A.M., Monday March 18, 2024 at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. Memorial Visitation on Sunday from 3-5 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
Private Inurnment at Rosehill Cemetery in Scotland, South Dakota.
Memorials to First United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.

My prayers and hugs to Bud´s family. He gave Ed help at being a salesman and he was a good friend to Ed and I. Lots of memories and good times and fun trips with he and Betty. May he rest in peace.
