Alain (Alan) Alexandre Scheinesson, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at his home in Fresno, Ca.
Alain was born in Africa, and continued living there untill he was eleven years old. Like his father, he also loved this country and always had memorable times fishing and exploring the shores of Lake Tanganyika with his sister and four cousins. After moving to the States, he lived with his family in the Bay area for a few years, and then resided in Fresno, Ca., where he continued his education.
Later he met and married Carolyn, joined the United States Air Force, and was stationed in the Phillippines while with Carolyn. After the Air Force, he received his Civil Engineer degree.
Alain graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1969, he was an active participant in the school's band and orchestra where he chose to play trumpet, and had also formed his own band with some of his classmates.
In conclusion, Alain enjoyed riding and repairing his motorcycles, plus he enjoyed the challenges of fixing the old Analog television sets and making them work again, for him seeing something work after it was broken was the end result. He will be missed and is now taken to a better place.
He was the son of Alex and Christiane Scheinesson; a brother to Eve-lyne Schein esson-Thomas from Bakersfield; husband to Carolyn Scheinesson; father to Sheila Scheinesson-Mendoza from Visalia; greatgrandfather to Mariah Mendoza from Visalia; nephew to Margret (Guitta) and Frank Prendergast from Burlingame; cousins to Monica Ryan of PA., and Alan Prendergast from N.Y., and three cousins in South Africa, plus one in Belgium. He was also father-in-law to Paco Mendoza from Visalia; and brother-in-law, to Larry Thomas from Bakersfield.
A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, on Friday, April 24, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. STEPHENS & BEAN CHAPEL 202 North Teilman Avenue Fresno, Ca. (559)268-9292
