DOUGLAS TUCKER Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Tucker, on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. He was 49 years old. Doug was a successful attorney at Tucker Chiu Law where he was passionate about helping his clients. He is survived by his wife Sandra; his two daughters, Marina and Paige; his mother Lucy; his brother John; aunt Martha; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to thank the staff at Clovis Community Medical Center, especially the Intensive Care Unit nursing staff, for the excellent care he received. We are planning on holding a Celebration of Life. Doug Tucker. His emails would sometimes say "Attorney-Client Privileged Communication". Really though, it could have read "Best Buds-Best Buds Communication". He was really more than our attorney. He was our friend and treated us like family. On so many occasions he went above and beyond his call of duty on behalf of our company but also, more personally, our families. Here at HMI we'll miss his dedication, his counsel, his sense of humor, and seeing him walk into our meetings at his office with that jug of green liquid. (I asked him once what it was and he said it was Kool-aid; not sure if he was yanking my chain) Doug Tucker, Attorney-at-Law...what a concept...

In every case we worked together, Doug was always very professional and innovative yet his humor, humbleness and sense of what is really important allowed him to look at the lighter side of an issue even poking fun at it. We called on Doug when we needed legal help in the Fresno area. He was funny and helped us tremendously when we were being mistreated by a company we worked for. He was great . We needed him a few more times and he was amazing. He would call just to see how I was because I was always worried. I could email him a question about anything. He would answer right back.Ifound myself talking with him for a while about family , issues with my kids, he helped my son he became not our attorney but our friend. We are so very sad for his co-workers and family. We lost a great attorney and friend who we will miss .

My condolences to the family of Doug.

I was a classmate of Doug at Santa Fe High and we played football as well. I used to just call him "TUCKER". TUCKER was a good athlete and a good friend. I hadn't seen TUCKER since we graduated and just recently got in touch with TUCKER through Facebook. We shared memories of High School and we spoke about sports especially the RAMS now that they had moved back to Los Angeles. Again I want to express my deepest condolences on the passing of TUCKER as mentioned by Mr. Parga #88 was feared by Defenses and he will continue to live in the hearts of those of us he touched with his kindness and his toughness on and off the Football Field.

Doug was a brother to myself and the rest of our group of friends who grew up together in Santa Fe, going to school and playing football. Doug was a kind, gentle person off the field, but the fiercest competitor on the field who would strike fear in opposing offenses when they saw big number 88 approaching for a bone-rattling tackle.

We all became better people because of Doug. He will always be a part of us, and his family should know that we will always be there for them.

So sorry to learn of a wonderful life taken to early from all who knew him. Doug had a special way he helped so many people. He gave us so much strength to tell our story and so we could help others to know what was truthful and help us to reject those that were evil. Thank you Doug for everything you provided us.
