Clovis, California - Oy Ten Young Lee, son of Yee Wo Leung and Kwong Yan Tai, was born in China in 1926 and passed away in Clovis, CA on October 2, 2022. Young was a former co-owner and manager of R-N Market in Fresno for 33 years, and founding member of the Chinese Cultural Center in Visalia. He enjoyed a well played game of mahjong, savoring good food, and traveling with family and friends. Mr. Lee is remembered for his kindness and generosity, always ready to have a friendly conversation, solve a problem, and build community. He was a cherished friend to many. Prior to his immigration to the United States he was known as Yee Yue Young, and is preceded in death by brother Yee Yue Kuen (Power Yu), sisters Yee Xue Ching and Yee Wai Ching, adoptive parents Bing and Suey Lee, sister Betty Kow Ten Ong, wife Lau Tak Yee, and wife of 55 years Lorna Fung Lee. Young is survived by his sister Katie Lee; his daughter Peggy Mark and son-in-law Andrew, grandchildren Samuel, Esther Schue with her husband Darren and great-grandchildren Isabella and Jacob; his son Michael Yu and daughter-in-law Anita, granddaughter Christine Yu and great-grandson Andy Lu with his wife Sandy and great-great-grandson Sky, grandson Alan Yu with his wife Sharon and great-grandchildren Katelyn and James, and; his daughter Annette Karim and son-in-law Michael, grandson John with his wife Barry and great-grandson George Elijah, granddaughter Audrey; his daughter Sandy Mozier and son-in-law Scott, granddaughter Marika Johnson with husband Alex, granddaughters Haley and Lauren. A Memorial Service will be held at Chapel of the Light,1620 W Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93728 on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11:30 AM. Inurnment will be held at Saint Peter's Cemetery.
