Betty Jean Barrett Gailey Obituary
Mrs. Gailey was born Sept. 3, 1934, to the late Hoyt Emory and Myrtle Lacey Dorsey Crane. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Merle McArthur, and brother, Herman Crane. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Gainesville and was the owner of the Cleveland Dairy Queen for 37 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara H. Pittman, Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Monica Hamilton, Clarkesville, Joe Jr. and Lesa Barrett, Cleveland; and stepson, James H. Gailey Jr., Clermont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hoyt E. and Barbara Crane, Birmingham, Ala., and Herbert and Maxine Crane, Camilla; sister-in-law, Nancy Crane, Monroe; grandchildren, Kenneth B. Seabolt, Cleveland, Kristi J. Autry, Cleveland, Tiffany and Gary Gable, Cleveland, Charles H. Hamilton and Alex, Lawrenceville, Katie Hamilton, Atlanta, Kai Gailey, Dahlonega; great-grandchildren, Zachary Seabolt, Flowery Branch, Christopher Gable, Seth Gable, Jordyn Autry, McKenzie Gable and Jack H. Autry, all of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011, in the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Heffner
officiating, with burial to follow in Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday and 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
