Gerald Howard Obituary
Mr. Howard loved the outdoors and liked to dig for Indian arrow heads. He also had a passion for raising reptiles.
Mr. Howard moved to Cherryville two years ago after living in Florida for many years.
He was born in New Jersey and is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald B. Howard and Carol J Howard.
He is survived by his maternal aunts, Lorraine Grant, wife of Warren Grant, of New Jersey and Gail Heinz, wife of William Heinz, of Pennsylvania and a paternal uncle, Steven Howard of Long Island. He is also survived by cousins Donna Jones, wife of Wayne Jones, Lori Peters, wife of James Peters, Kathy Mulligan, wife of Steve Mulligan, and Becky Matthews, wife of Rich Matthews, Christina Miller, wife of Arnold Miller, all of New Jersey and James Heinz of Pennsylvania.
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral home handled the arrangements which were private at the request of the family.
In lieu of flowers please donate to an organization of your choice in Jerry's name.

Lord our God, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Jerry was suddenly taken from us. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family and friends by the power and protection of the cross. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. It's so hard to understand the cruel twists and turns of fate.
Some things in life are rotten and unfair, if they weren't you would be standing there.
I know life doesn't last forever, but yours was cut way to short without rhyme, reason, or logic.
Life must go on as it always has before, but you'll always be with us yesterday, now, and forever more.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
