Granby, MA — SON TO ISABEL (BERNIER) MIKNA AND ANDREW MIKNA
Andrew formerly of 402 Batchelor St. Granby, MA, passed away, February 11, 2022 in the State of North Carolina while living in an Assisted Living/Memory Care Facility and under the care of his sister Sharon Peters of South Carolina. He was born in Holyoke, MA. In his younger days, he resided in South Hadley, MA, attending Crew Street Grade School and South Hadley High School. He attended Springfield Technical Community College, and the University of Massachusetts.
University of Massachusetts formerly employed Andrew for 30 years as a Refrigeration and HVAC Technician. Andrew received numerous Certificates and Letters of Appreciation. He was presented with the Distinguished Service Award in 1984 for recognition of Meritorious and Outstanding Service. During this 30-year period, Andrew joined ROTC, served as a Radio Operator for the United States Air Force, and was stationed in England.
Andrew is survived by two sisters, Sharon Peters of South Carolina, Patricia Stiles of Holyoke, MA, a Niece, several Grand Nieces and Grand Nephews.
HE WILL BE MISSED. IF LOVE COULD HAVE SAVED HIM, HE WOULD HAVE LIVED FOREVER.
