Mary Ann Warnock

1948 - 2014

EASTHAMPTON - Mary Ann (Jasmin) Warnock, 65, of Echo Lane, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Calvin Coolidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born April 26, 1948, in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia (Murphy) Jasmin. Mary Ann was educated in Northampton schools and was a graduate of the former St. Michaels High School. She lived most of her life in Northampton, moving to Easthampton three years ago.

Mary Ann served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971. She was an insurance agent for several insurance agencies in the area for many years.

Mary Ann was a member of the VFW Post 8006, the American Legion Post 28 in Northampton, and Post 236 in Haydenville, and the Northampton Moose Lodge.

She is survived by her three sons, Dennis Irwin of Ocala, Fla., Josh Warnock of Turners Falls, and Joel Warnock of Portland, Ore.; her daughter Sharon Potter of Knoxville, Tenn.; her brother William Jasmin of Amarillo, Texas; her sister Kathleen Sherman of Florence; her six grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas and Taylor Irwin, Lorna and Catiana Potter, and Hannah Warnock; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Dennis Jasmin.

Mary Ann's funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Ahearn Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling Hours are Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
