Muriel J. Wilson

Muriel J Wilson, age 95, formerly of Granby and South Hadley, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Day Brook Nursing Center in Holyoke after contracting Covid-19. Muriel was born in Holyoke on September 29, 1924 to the late Harold & Minnie Longbottom. Muriel was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 25 years, Howard Wilson in 1992. Howard was the love of her life and they had no children. She leaves her cousins Lisa Sullivan and William Aberseck of Claremont California. Muriel grew up in Wilimansett, Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School. She worked as a bookkeeper at Savage Arms, Crocker Mackelan & Street Lumber. Muriel was a member of Second Baptist Church of South Hadley where she was a life deacon. She was also a member of Eastern Star for over 50 years. Muriel loved to travel and enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens.
