Ventura - Jack E. Bless, 75, of Oklahoma City, Okla., formerly of Ventura, died Wednesday April 10, 2013, at the V.A. Hospital, Oklahoma City.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, with the Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating.

Bless was born June 8, 1937, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Evelyn (Slagle) Bless. He graduated from Ventura High School, Ventura, in 1955. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Germany.
Jack married Virginia "Ginni" Cash on Dec. 27, 1959, at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, Iowa. He worked as a computer programmer in Cedar Rapids, North Iowa and in 1995 moved to Oklahoma City.
Jack was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bow hunting and wood carving.
He is survived by his wife, Ginni Bless, Oklahoma City; two children: David (Kiyon) Bless, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Michaela "Miki" (Dr. Richard) Backes, Saux Rapids, Minn.; three grandchildren: Brianna Backes, Elly Backes and Emmi Backes; brothers-in-law, Mike (Nancy) Cash, Ventura, and Walter Cash, Clear Lake; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian, in 1983; and his brother, Art Bless.
