VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. Jeanette Ferrell Rose, 86, passed away peacefully at home on September 10, 2017, in the presence of her beloved family. She was born on May 3, 1931, in Danville, Va., a daughter of the late Henry K. Ferrell, Sr. and the late Rosa Eastwood Ferrell. Jeanette was employed by Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company in Richmond until she married Winston Wallace Rose in 1961 and moved to Virginia Beach. She was an active member of Bayside Baptist Church and the Faithful Sunday School Class. She will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her family. Jeanette was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Winston. She is survived by four daughters, Tracy Estep and her husband, Sam, Wendy Rose, Amy Vest and her husband, Walter, and Bonny Rose. She was the proud grandmother of Winston and Spencer Estep and Taylor, Ellie, and Sydney Vest. Survivors also include a brother, Reginald W. Ferrell and his wife, Sandra; her stepsister, Barbara Hunt; her stepbrother, Glen Reynolds, two nieces, and six nephews. Jeanette was also predeceased by her brother, Henry K. Ferrell, Jr.; and sister, Lois F. Richardson. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 15, 2017, at Bayside Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Pullen officiating. The family would like to acknowledge with gratitude the loving care provided by Westminster-Canterbury at Home Hospice and Elder Care at Home.
