Louise Fitzgerald Obituary
REIDSVILLE, N.C. Louise Layne Fitzgerald, 88, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017, at Rockingham County Hospice Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Reidlawn Cemetery with Pastor Pete Kunkle officiating. The family will see friends after the service. Mrs. Fitzgerald was born on December 6, 1928, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to the late Frank Russell Layne and Odessa Nance Layne. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dailey Fitzgerald; her daughter, Marie Fitzgerald; and brothers, James F. Layne and Troy L. Layne. Survivors include her sister, Judy Layne Joyce (Noel); her son-in-law, Jim DeNecochea; granddaughter, Christina DeNecochea; nephew, William Layne Joyce (Christy); nieces, Jackie Layne Mowrey, Reba Layne Cockman (Billy) and Susan Layne Buntin; special great-nephew, William Thomas Joyce; and special great-niece, Brittany "Boo" Dowdy (Ricky). Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 or to a charity of your choice.
