Robert Mitchell Obituary
Born Feb. 16, 1946, in Danville, he was the son of the late Harvey Lottie Herndon Mitchell.
He moved to Southport in 2001. He was a sales representative for Acosta Sales, a very active member of Shoreline Baptist Church, and a devoted and loving husband.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth "Bitsy" Mitchell, he is survived by two children, Chris Allen of Graham, and Melissa Gery of Danville; a brother, James Mitchell of Danville; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25 at Shoreline Baptist Church with his nephew, Pastor Steve Hinton officiating, and assisted by Pastor Ken Baker. Interment will follow in Cape Fear Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 24 at the funeral home.
Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service, Southport is in charge of arrangements.

To All of Bobby’s Family
I am so sorry for your loss. I know he is really going to be missed. I wish our paths could of crossed again. I know we will all see him again one day in heaven. When I was a kid Bobby helped me a lot. Bobby was one of the most friendly and likable Guys you could ever meet. I had a lot of respect for Bobby and looked up to him.

Robert would want everyone to know how much he loved his family, both Melissa and Chris and all _5_ grandchildren. He was happiest when he was with us and his church. We miss him and look forward to the day when we will see him again. HIS WIFE
