WANDA CRUMPTON Obituary
Wanda Scearce Crumpton
Wanda Scearce Crumpton, 52 of 8595 Kentuck Rd., Ringgold, Va. died Monday May 16, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Crumpton was born October 6, 1958 in Danville, Va. to the late Richard Scearce and Virginia Walton Scearce. She was married to Sam David Crumpton of the residence. Mrs. Crumpton worked for Short Sugars as a waitress for many years.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by one daughter; Lisa Ann Fowlkes of Danville: one son; Larry W. Crumpton of Ringgold, Va.: five sisters; Judy Weatherford of Dry Fork, Va., Emma Scearce of Gibsonville, N.C., Tammy Jordon of Brosville, Va., Ann Bundy of Danville and Frances Wood of Ringgold, Va.: three brothers; Bennie Scearce of Colorado; Delvis Scearce of Dry Fork, Va and William Scearce of Altivista, Va.: three grandchildren; Alisa Blake Fowlkes, MaKayla Brooke Crumpton and Shyanne McKinzie Crumpton.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Norris Funeral Services and Crematory, West End Chapel 511 Church Ave., Danville, Va. with the Rev. Jack Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends 7:00 to 8:30pm Wednesday May 18, 2011 at Norris Funeral Services West End Chapel and at other times at the residence 8595 Kentuck Rd. Ringgold, Va.

Wanda, I miss u every day!! I would give anything to have u back!! But GOD took a angel home, I miss the good old day's I will miss seeing you at Short Sugars eating with u talking and laughing, u were always special in my heart, u were full of life. I went to your grave today 6/12/2011 a feeling of Peace came over me and I now no u really r at peace our memories of u will never die.The hard part was letting you go but I no u r watching down on us and smiling, our saying was don't worry be happy.So I no DAD is happy to have you home in HEAVEN with him, But we will meet again in a new life that god has prepared for his children to come home and sit by his thrown and take your wings and fly u r free as a bird.I miss u and love u 4 ever!! Wanda would do anything to help someone she cared about. Once I had a broken foot and wrist and she offered to come to my house and do anything needed.....cook, clean, laundry. To Wanda's family,
As others have said, Wanda was a bright spot at Short Sugars! My dad who had Alzheimers just loved her! She would joke with him and he would always laugh. Not something he regularly did. After his death, she sent mom a card and continued to ask each of us how mom was doing. Amazing how a casual acquaintance could give so much joy. May God strengthen you all during these difficult days!

We've ALL lost someone VERY SPECIAL! You were blessed to have had each other for all these years. You'll never know just how much Wanda and you meant to me during a time when I so desperately needed your help and friendship. I will never forget Wanda ~ ever. Wanda, You will be missed at Short Sugars, Breakfast won't be the same, myself or some form of my family was there eating breakfast at least 4 or 5 times a week. My boys thought as much of you as you did them. You were such a sweet person.
