William Watters Obituary

William "Bill" Watters, age 60, of Edwardsville, Illinois, died at 12:21 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
He was born April 23, 1954 in Wood River, Illinois, the son of Lester & Sylvia (Knoche) Watters of Meadowbrook, Illinois.
Bill worked at an RN for BJC Health Systems in the St. Louis area. He married Rita S. Pruett on September 21, 1974, at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Prairetown, Illinois.
Along with his parents and wife, Bill is also survived by one son, Michael S. Watters and wife Elizabeth of Edwardsville; one daughter, Kimberly S. Bononi of Pembroke Pines, Florida; four grandchildren, Caden, Nicholas, & Rhianna Watters, and Tegan Bononi; six brothers, Kenneth Watters of Alton, Illinois, David Watters of Fosterberg, Illinois, Dennis Watters of Meadowbrook, John Watters of Jerseyville, Illinois, Gordon Watters of Collinsville, Illinois, James Watters of Wood River, Illinois; and two sisters, Nancy Marti of Edwardsville, and Sylvia "Jeannie" Blackorby of Decatur, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Weber & Rodney Funereal Home with Pastor Michael McBrien officiating.
He will be cremated according to his wishes and will be buried at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
