PEDRO GALVAN Obituary
SAN ANGELO - Pedro "Pete" Galvan, 60, of San Angelo, went to be with his Savior on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007. Vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Interment will follow in Belvedere Memorial Park. Services have been entrusted to the Arnoldo Gutierrez family. Mr. Galvan was born July 25, 1947, in Zaragosa, Coah. Mexico. He graduated from Angelo State University with a bachelor's and master's degree in business administration. Mr. Galvan is survived by his wife, Elva Galvan; one son, Albert Galvan; daughters Marina Mata and husband Alejandro of Lewisville, Texas, Angelina Galvan and Kayla Galvan; his brothers, Sergio Galvan and Javier Galvan, both of San Angelo, and Fernando Galvan of Ozona, Texas; five sisters, Graciela Perez, Rosantina Mata, Hidalia Valdez and Irma de la Rosa, all of San Angelo, and Hilda Carranco of Zaragosa, Coah. Mexico. Pete "as he was dearly called" had six grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Alejandro, Sierra and Saul Mata, Anyssa Gonzales, Andrew Castaneda and Alexis Galvan. He always loved everyone, no matter our faults. And insisted no matter how big or hard a hurdle life threw us, we were to always keep our heads held high!! He was quick and witty and would make you laugh out loud but he was also an extremely smart person and was always willing to help anyone! I am sorry to hear of your loss. My dear friend Pete, it has been almost 14 years since all those of us who knew you lost a kind and sincere friend with a great personality.
You and I had some long, productive, and interesting conversations over breakfast at La Esperanza restaurant many a morning. As we sat in our usual spot, I was amazed at how everyone who was there when we arrived would light up when you came in, and everyone who arrived afterward would always stop just to say hello. I miss our fellowship!
Rest in peace my friend.
