Mrs. Christy was my choir teacher in elementary school and all through high school. She founded and led our Sterling Silver Show Choir to State Champions. The talent this little woman had was brilliant. She shaped so much of my youth.

I remember Ms. Christy from back when I was at Sterling Heights High from 83-86. She was an excellent teacher, and she was passionate about music. I'm sad to see she has passed. She's definitely one of the teachers I remember. My family is still very active in music and it's certainly in part because of her.

Mrs. Christy is at the HEART of my fondest high school memories. As one of the "2 Sues" in Sterling Silver, I have such respect for her and all that she poured into her choir kids. As an elementary teacher of 26 years, I always find myself thinking of her as I "perform" my way through the day. Because,
despite what life throws at us, "The show MUST go on!" I send my love and condolences to the entire family. Such a great lady is going to be greatly missed! Wherever she is, she is going to be adding a whole new level of CLASS!

I just heard the sad news of Mrs Christy´s passing. I guess she wanted us all to get the word because this pic showed up on my FB memories today and for some reason I posted the memory. Unfortunately that prompted hearing this sad, sad news. When I think back on highschool days, my best memories include Sterling Silver and Mrs. Christy. She had such a great impact on me and all of us through our show choir years. My heart goes out to her whole family. Sending love to you all.
