Christine Ellen Kilian
1960-2024
Christine Ellen Kilian, 64 of Marcell, died Monday, July 29 2024 at St Marys Hospital in Duluth.
She was born March 11, 1960, to Bill and Linda Mayo in Deer River. She grew up and attended school in Deer River, graduating from Deer River High School. Later in life, she attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks where she earned her first college degree as a student on the dean's list. She also attended school at Itasca Community College where she earned a degree in nursing as an RN.
She was a loving mother to five children and nine grandchildren, wife, and caregiver to many. Her career took on many paths from bookkeeping to nursing. Her passion was taking care of people, a passion which she excelled at. As a caregiver, she earned several accolades for her loving touch. She will be missed by many, from her family, to the community and beyond.
She is survived by her husband Jeff S. Kilian of Marcell, her son Cory Hoffman and daughter-in-law Amy Hoffman, her son Casey Hoffman, Daughter Billi Jo Liensener and son in law Josh Liensener, her grandchildren Maria Rutherford, Joseph Hoffman, Samantha Rutherford, Savannah Hoffman, Meeka Bumgarner, Annika Bumgarner, Annastsia Rahier, Odin Liensener, her sisters Jody Taylor of Panama City FL, Pam Morgan of Vicksburg MS, Debbie Martinez of Wisconsin Dells WI, brother Bill Mayo of Watertown SD, her mother Linda Mayo of Deer River, and her mother in law Carol Kilian of Marcell.
Preceding her death was her father Bill Mayo of Deer River, and her son and daughter Kevin and Kerri Hoffman of Bigfork.
Services will be held at the Marcell Community Church on Tuesday, August 6th at 2 PM with a fellowship to follow. There will be a visitation at 1 PM.
