Mary Ann McCall Obituary

McCall, Mary Ann

Mary Ann McCall, 85, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. She was born on January 11, 1931, in Sheboygan to the late Norbert and Magdalen (Wifler) Schmitt. Mary Ann married Bernard McCall on June 23, 1951, and recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Along with her husband, Mary Ann owned and operated McCall's Supper Club for over 30 years. After retiring in 1989, they moved to Florida where they both worked for Disney Village. They returned to Wisconsin to spend time with their family. Mary Ann was a devout Catholic and member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed doing puzzles, visiting with friends, and making memories with her grandchildren.

Mary Ann will be sadly missed by her husband, Bernard; three children, Brian McCall, Melanie McCall-Novinska, and Brad McCall; three grandchildren, Chelsea Novinska, Brandon, and Meghan McCall; two great grandchildren, Annika and Quinn; a brother, Ray (Lynn) Schmitt; one sister, Lorraine (Richard) Schaap; four sisters-in-law, Mary Beth Schmitt, Marlene (Cully) Nieman, Judy (Harlan) Held, and Violet (Jim) Vissers; special goddaughter, Lisa Jansen; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

In addition to her parents Mary Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Merlin "Butch" Schmitt.

Visitation will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 720 N. Baird St., from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at church with Rev. Anthony Cirignani O.F.M. officiating. Entombment will be in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Due to a prior engagement I will not be able to attend Mary Ann's funeral. But I wanted to let the family know that they are in my thoughts and prayers. Mary Ann was a class act lady. May you find peace above.
