Sandra Hoffman Obituary

Hoffman, Sandra "Sandy"

Sandra "Sandy" Hoffman, 65, Kelly Lake, died suddenly Wednesday morning, January 9, 2013 of natural causes in the ER of Community Memorial Hospital. She was born October 28, 1947 in Green Bay to Harold and Dorothy (Gagnon) Giese. Her father Harold just preceded her in death on December 19, 2012. Sandy grew up in Oneida and attended Pulaski Public Schools. As a teenager she moved to San Diego, CA where she attended nursing school, earning her CNA.

Sandy moved back to Wisconsin and lived in DePere for many years where she was employed at an area paper company. On September 11, 2004 she married Daniel "Killer" Hoffman in the backyard of the home they shared. Since living in Oconto County, Sandy was employed at CMH in Oconto Falls for many years. She enjoyed collecting things, especially tea pots and was looking forward to ice fishing with her husband this weekend in the Kelly Lake Fishing Derby. Together they also took care of Pine Hill Cemetery in the Town of Spruce.

Survivors are her husband, Daniel "Killer" Hoffman, Kelly Lake; one daughter, Cheryl Knoll; five grandchildren; her father-in-law, Eugene Hoffman, Kelly Lake; three brothers, Kenneth Giese, Pulaski; Ronald and Edward Giese, both of Morgan; four sisters, Susan (Jerome) Wierschke, Denmark; Sharon (Pete) VandeHei, Green Bay; Faye (Jake Gronnert) Gerndt, Suring; Phylllis (John) Plutt, Hancock, MI; one brother-in-law, Donald (Jane) Hoffman, Kelly Lake; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Travis Knoll, a grandson Davin Knoll and her mother-in-law, Helen Hoffman.

Visitation will be held 4-7 pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Visitation will continue after 8am Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the funeral home until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 10am Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Kamke officiating. Cremation will follow with burial of the urn in Pine Hill Cemetery, Spruce.

So hard to believe... The memories of cooking over the fire with you while Grandpa would watch us seem like only this past fall. The Boys and I were just talking about how you used to cook bacon. You are never far from our thoughts. So glad my children have the same wonderful memories of you that I had while growing up...
