WAYNESVILLE — David Baird Pryor, 68, of Waynesville, Ohio, passed away February 19, 2023; at home, after a long, hard fought battle with lung cancer. He was born April 15, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Howard McClellan and Opal Baird Pryor. In 1960, they moved to Fairborn, Ohio, and in 1972 he graduated from Fairborn Baker High School. He married Jennifer Fulton and had two children, Amanda Jo and Jason David. Dave married his wife Becci (Rebecca) in 1993; they established their family farm (Blackberry Cove Farm), in Spring Valley, Ohio. Dave spent many years developing life-long friendships and never missed a chance to make people laugh. His love and talent for playing music created many special bonds and memories. From moving dirt and snow, woodworking, construction, farming, and anything in between, Dave did the hard work and had the experience to get the job done. If he didn't, you could bet he knew someone who could, or at least someone he could talk about it with over an Old Milwaukee. Dave loved to know that Becci, his grandkids, family and friends, were fishing, gardening, and enjoying the farm. Even when he could not join them; he insisted they get out and enjoy the outdoors. His passion to preserve the disappearing simple lifestyle impacted anyone that knew him. Dave is survived by his loving wife, Becci. Children: Jason Pryor of Spring Valley, OH, Brian (Jamie) Roos of Waynesville, OH, and Amanda (Ryan) Warner of St. Augustine, FL. Grandchildren: Chloe, Caiden, and Carter Roos; Riley, Chase, and Madison Warner. Twin brother, Doug (Judy) Pryor and sister, Nancy (Ira) Sully; his uncle, Raymond Pergram, as well as beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Family wish to thank everyone who helped and supported Dave though his illness in many many ways; Medical teams, Hospice, family, friends including many great neighbors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to your local Hospice or Bridges of Hope Shelter in Xenia, OH (Garden project) are suggested. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at the family farm on April 15, 2023. Information on the celebration, pictures, and stories will be shared using: http://bit.ly/3XGH7mD. Please use this site to honor your relationship with Dave.
