Joy Wheeler

FAIRBORN Joy Wheeler, age 87 of Fairborn, passed away Friday March 8, 2013 in the Dayspring Heath Care Center. She was born October 25, 1925 in Johnson Co., KY, the daughter of the late Proctor and Mary (Sparks) Evans. Joy was a longtime member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in New Carlisle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jess; three brothers, Elmer Evans, Farrell Evans, and Elwood Evans; a granddaughter Rebecca; and infant grandson. Joy is survived by four children, Jimmy (Suzie) Wheeler, Dannie (Debra) Wheeler, Sue (Bob) Boyer, Diane Smith; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. The family will received friends on Sunday March 10, 2013 from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service was held on Monday March 11, 2013 at 10:00 A.M., Brother Dan Smith officiated. Burial followed in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice in memory of Joy.
