HIGH POINT Jeffery Patrick Cheely, 47, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at his residence. He was married to Beatrice Anne McSweeney Cheely and resided in High Point, NC. The family is hosting a gathering in celebration of Patrick's life on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at his and Beatrice's residence from 2 until 4 p.m. Please come with your favorite memory or funny story of Patrick. Patrick was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Lynette Spencer Cheely, in 2013; maternal grandparents, Kenneth E. and Lena T. Spencer; and paternal grandparents, James Robert Cheely and Evelyn Clarke Cheely. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Beatrice "Buttons" Anne McSweeney Cheely; his father, James Conway Cheely of Camden, SC; his sister, Lynnette Marie Cheely Conto (Kevin) of Camden, SC; a niece, Sydney Rae Conto of Camden, SC; maternal uncle and aunt, Byron and Sharon Spencer; paternal uncle and aunt, Albert Cheely and Bonnie Cheely; his in-laws, William and Patricia McSweeney, Jr.; brothers-in-law, William McSweeney III, (Jennifer) and Barney McSweeney (Marie); sister-in-law, Bridget Myers (Scott); his other nieces and nephews, Sean Patrick, Carter, Gracie, Hagen, and Tatem McSweeney, whom he loved very much. Patrick attended Thomas Hart Academy (5th-9th grade), Hartsville High School (10th-11th grade), then graduated from Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA. Patrick attended the University of South Carolina, but completed his degree at University of Memphis with a master's in computer science. He worked with MHS. Patrick also initiated and hosted the Greensboro Tennis Meet Up group that had over a 1000 members. In lieu of any flowers, Patrick wished for folks to make a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Hanes-Lineberry N.
