Louise Steading Obituary
Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jerome and Laura Atkins Holtzclaw. She retired from American Spinning Co. after more than 40 years of service. She attended Cedar Lane Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. Steading was predeceased by her husband, James Daniel "JD" Steading; and son, Bobby Jerome Steading. She was the last surviving member of her generation.
Surviving are one son, Thomas "Donnie" Steading; three grandsons, Bobby J. Steading, Steve Steading and Dan Steading; and three great-granddaughters, Lindsey Steading and Stephanie and Ashley Steading.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, with burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of her grandson and his wife, Dan and Cindy Steading, 214 Rosemary Lane, Greenville.
