Isabel S. Kennedy

ISABEL S. KENNEDY, 102, passed away at home on Friday, July 22, 2011. Isabel was born to George and May Anna Strathie, on January 14 1909 in Middlebush, New Jersey. She spent many years working as the secretary for the family business, The Kennedy Nursery, located in Greenwich. Isabel was a graduate of Stamford High School and later taught at Rosemary Hall. She moved to Greenwich in 1934 and was a long time member of the Riverside Yacht Club and an active member of the Second Congregational Church in Greenwich, CT. Isabel was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Wellington Kennedy. She leaves behind her daughter, Heather Kennedy, of Dayton, OH and her son Todd and his wife Anne Kennedy, of Greenwich, their children Thomas and his wife Yayoi Kennedy and their son Wellington, Elizabeth Kennedy and her husband Jackson Baggette and their daughter Isabel, Sarah A. Kennedy and Alice H. Kennedy. There will be a memorial service held for friends and family at The Second Congregational Church, 139 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11a.m.
