Rosenberg, Sylvia
Sylvia Olive Rosenberg aged 84 a long time resident of New Canaan, CT died Sunday, May 25th 2014 in Norwalk Hospital after a brief illness.
Sylvia was born June 7, 1929 in Bath England to Jack and Olive Padfield. She married her teen sweetheart, Colin. They moved to Ascot, Berkshire in 1957 and later across the seas to Greenwich, Connecticut in 1970. She was a resident of New Canaan since 1998.
In her younger days, Sylvia enjoyed ballroom dancing and more recently gardening, playing piano, doing the New York Times Crossword Puzzle and playing Bridge with her friends at Waveney Senior Center.
She was employed as an Executive Secretary at Amax Inc., Rosario Resources, Corp. from 1973 until her retirement.
She was predeceased by her daughter Denise who died as an infant and her husband, Colin Frederick Kenneth Rosenberg in 1983. Loving mother to Karen Healy (Tom) of New Canaan and David Rosenberg (Kathy) of Pawcatuck. Doting Grandmother to Justin, Briana, Andrew and Austin Rosenberg of Pawcatuck and Kyle, Trevor and Olivia Healy of New Canaan; and Devon Healy currently residing in Bath, England. Memorial service details to follow:
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any charity that supports animals in need - Sylvia's lifelong passion.
