Evelyn Roseberry Obituary

Evelyn Lena Roseberry, age 80, of Lithonia, died September 28, 2007. She was a charter member of Norris Lake Presbyterian Church, as well as a past member of Eastern Star of Norcross GA, The Red Hat Society "Happy Hatter's of Duluth" chapter, International & Georgia Egg Art Guild. She was an instructor teaching the art of ceramics and porcelain since 1956 and an accomplished cake baker and seamstress. She has lovingly cared for elderly friends most of her life. She loved porcelain dolls, motorcycles, and cowboys. Preceded in death by daughter: Genny Sharpton Adair; husbands: Ben K. Sharpton, and E. Leon Roseberry. Survived by her three daughters, Marie S. Jordan of Carrollton, Sally Dora Sharpton of Lithonia, and Kelly Eberhardt of Atlanta. Brother: Grover C. Harrison, Jr. of Greenville, S. C. Sisters: Lillian Harrison Keller and Betty Harrison Hashigami, of Lawrenceville. Eight grand-children: Sherri, Jerry, Sandy, Wendy, Anne, Licia, Melissa and James. Fourteen great grand-children. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 2:00 PM, Norris Lake Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Cyndy Dixon officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in her memory to "The Sally Fund", Norris Lake Presbyterian Church, 8275 Norris Lake Rd. Snellville, GA 30039. To all:
Evelyn was so very dear to so many. There is no way to measure the many people and lives that she influenced in such positive ways through her faith in God. If we all shared her faith as much as she did, this would be a much better world. What a wonderful friend, teacher, mother and sister we have all lost.Her life is such an inspiration to all. I will keep you all in my heart and prayers.

Dear Betty and Lil and Sally,
I am so very sad about the loss of precious Evelyn. You surely know how much we all loved her in the Eggart Guild of Georgia! She was a wonderful person and sweet friend, and talented artist. I have very fond memories of the three of you sisters and sweet Sally at our guild meetings and in your home and workshop. Please feel free to call on me if there is anything I can do to help you at this time of need. I will hold all of you in prayer and will remember your precious sister and mother in my fond memories.
