News Death Notice
CHARTRAND, Arthur "Andy" Age 83, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born June 24, 1932 in Massena, NY to Napoleon and Rhea (Lauzone) Chartrand. He was an engineer for G.E. Ingersoll Rand in Corning, NY and for Manchester Machine in Middletown, OH. Arthur was a member of St. John Chapel, Holy Family Parish and The Knights of Columbus, John Paul II Council Monsignor McNary Assembly #2299. Arthur is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia nee Johnson; sons, Andre` (Kimberly) of Miamisburg, Matthew (Amber) of Sunman, IN, Robert (Jill) of Seven Mile, Stephen of Oxford, Leon of Jackson Hole, WY, John (Kelly) of Lebanon; daughters, Mary (Patrick) Gannon of Middletown, Jean (Pete) Enyeart of Charlotte, NC, Michelle (Doug) Trenum of Trenton, Maureen Ruppert of Sabina, Barbara (Aaron) Short of Franklin; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Farnsworth. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Joshua Chartrand; sisters, Jeannine Hamilton, Madeline Mitchell, Rosemary Farnsworth and Pauline Legault. A Catholic Memorial Mass will be held Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. John Church with Father John Civille officiating. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 201 Clark Street, Middletown, OH 45042. Interment will be at Woodside Scattering Garden.
