Dear Mel,
Perhaps it does help,if only a little, to know you are very much in the thoughts of all who know and respect you and share your loss.

Dear Mel,
Carole Goldstein (now Grossman) emailed me today about Cynthia, to my immense shock and sorrow. I was at first struck that you are alone but after reading the items in this Globe guest book and other items, I see you have a great deal of family; all of your children have married, more kudos to you for having a model marriage. Cynthia and you were a model even for your contemporaries. No one was ever prouder of their children than you two,. Although I now Iive in Hanover NH, I am writing from New Jersey, while nannying a newborn and a two year old (from Michael's marriage to Angela), while on a short sabbatical from my job at Dartmouth after 22 years. retiring next year as student disabilities coordinator. I would love to see you in person and wonder whether you still have property in New Hampshire. Memories of Medicaid years, important and fun times, and so happy to see an entry by Caroll Topjian, a wonderful person. Thank you and Cynthia for being important people in my life. Dear Mel
Cathy Smith-Ubaldino just yesterday told me the sad news of Cynthia's passing. I remember her so well from that too brief /but so wonderful time when we were all part of your "extended Medicaid family". Cynthia was so much a part of what I look back on as one of the very best times of my life. Cathy and I recalled together our dinner at your home when you and Cynthia wanted to thank us for your going away party and how much we enjoyed the time with your family. I am thinking of you a lot right now and knowing that truly good memories will keep Cynthia close by always. So, please
take care and know that many, many good, loving thoughts are with you.
