News Death Notice

HOWARD, Donald R. 64 of Monroe passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at his residence. He was born on July 23, 1949 to Samuel and Ruth (Montgomery) Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Michelle Howard and his brother, Paul Howard. Donald is survived by his sons, Michael and Joseph (Jody) Howard; his granddaughters, Ava and Jacqueline Howard. They were both his "Baby". His fiancée of 10 years, Lynne Sims; his brothers; Carl (Jenny) Howard and Ken Howard; his sisters, Rita (Jay) Parker and Debbie (David) Tucker. Donald was a pipefitter out of Cincinnati Local 392, retiring in 2004 and was an active member of the Middletown Moose Lodge # 501, the Moose Legion and the Pot Belly Pigs. Donald was also a lifelong Harley Davidson rider, with numerous trips to Sturgis, the Florida Keys and Washington D.C. Visitation will be on Friday, December 27th from 6-8:00 pm at the Baker- Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, December 28th at 10:00 am with Pastor Todd Wallen officiating. Interment will be at the Mound Cemetery in Monroe. Condolences may be sent to the family @ www.bakerstevensparramore.com

Don and Michelle were very good friends to me and I loved being at their house when I lived down the street. He always treated me so good and had a way of lifting your spirits and bringing out a smile. He loved his boys and they had that same great personality. I found myself stopping by whenever I was in town just to see them just like second parents. I know that you and Michelle are together again for eternity and I pray comfort and peace for your two sons who I enjoyed being a big brother to back then. You will be truly missed Don.
