I will never forget my first day on the job at Forest Park Krogers and the first person I encountered as I entered the store ....it was Norma Sarosy. It was not only the first person that I met but one of the few that I worked for/with that I had the highest regard and respect for during my time at Krogers. She was oh-so- tough and extremely demanding but I came to understand why - she was the consumate professional, the respected colleague and the mentor that many of us needed to see us through those days. It has been many years since I have seen Norma (and Ted) some years back at Jungle Jim's after she had transitioned from Krogers. She still had that same zest and dedicated approach to the job as when I first met her at Krogers. She was always very well focused and made sure that if you worked for her, you were too ......
To the Sarosy Family, your mother will be missed by all who knew her. She was a great mentor to me and to those who worked with her. May you all be comforted during your loss but celebrate the great life she lived and shared.
Norma was truely one of a kind ........

Norma, you touched our lives and richly blessed us. You were more than just a co-worker and friend. You made many of us at the Jungle feel like family. You were *Mom* and *Grandma* to so many of us. In the past few days several of us talked about the laughter and joy you brought us and how much we loved you and how we will miss you.
My thoughts and prayers are with Sarosy family.

Norma, My fondest memories are of my 1st day @ Jungle Jims: I missed one of the belts on the checklanes, and you were sure to point it out to me. You even moved the cashier to a different lane, and waited for me to come in to clean it! I was not sure how you would have seen 1 belt out of the 50 checklanes @ Jungle Jims. Or the time that you pretended you were choking and wanted a bottle of water out of your fridge. I opened the fridge that was in your office, and you had removed the shelves and placed a pig's head in it. I reached in to quickly retrieve the water, and grabbed a pig's snout instead. There was also the time that it had snowed, and I called in to let you know I would not be able to make it, and you told me to come in on a tractor! I enjoyed the poster's announcing Amron Park would be serving food at noon. I asked everybody, what is Amron Park? They all laughed and said it was Norma's food. There would be everybody in the break room including customers to eat the food! Norma was extraordinary, and I had the pleasure of working with her for 3 years. Everything was unique about her, including the license plate that spelled Norma backwards.

I was really devastated to hear of the passing of this lovely lady. I know first hand what she means to her friends and of course her grieving family. I only hope your many, many memories can see you through your worst days. My own memories I will hold dear. Her hardy infectious laugh, and when we worked together in the Kroger front office she would always have to find her shoes before she went out on to the sales floor because she had of course kicked them off as soon as she got behind the closed door of the front office. Knowing this lady was an honor and a privledge. My thoughts and prayers are with her family who meant everything to her

My dearest loved one, here on earth,
I saw a tear fall down your face.
You didn’t see me standing there,
Nor could you feel my soft embrace.
But I was standing next to you,
I know you looked around.
You seemed to wonder what it was
You thought you heard a sound.
Yes my love, it was I,
Who came to check on you.
I saw a tear fall from your eye,
I knew you were feeling blue.
Even though you cannot see me.
Please know that I am near
I am now an angel from above
To brush away your tear.
I know each day you think of me
And many times shed a tear.
But please just close your eyes
And know that I am near.
As I have told you often,
Do not be afraid to cry.
It does relieve the pain
Knowing we had to say goodbye.
One thing is for certain,
Even though life on earth is o’er
I’m still closer to you now
Than ever I was before.
I know you still don’t understand
Why I had to leave this earth
God doesn’t have any secrets;
It’s just all planned from our birth.
Someday when you have joined me
And meet God at His Throne,
It’s then you will understand
The questions that have been unknown.
Sarosy family you are in my thoughts and prayers
