Allen family, we are so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He is a wonderful man. I have been coming to Allen's since 1970. What great memories of Ed & the whole family. My son (Jason Baker) & I used to walk their everyday, that was the 1st place I let Jason walk to all by himself when he was a child because I knew he was in good hands at Allen's Market. My husband Tom Treadway worked at the station for several years and father-in-law Bige Treadway used to eat lunch from Allen's everyday. In our thoughts & prayers. My love and prayers to the Allen family. Ed was my inspiration to build my building, because I knew he built his business by working long hours. He was a self taught man who lived the American dream, was a part of the greatest generation, and was humble and gracious to all. He was a large inspiration to me in my business pursuits. I was proud to call him my friend. I will always cherish my memories with him on the golf course and in the bowling alley.
