Barbara Ann Hackett

1964 - 2022

Barbara Ann Hackett, age 58, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2022 at Cheshire Regional Rehab Center after a period of declining health. She was the beloved daughter of Frances (Karcher) Hackett and the late Raymond Hackett. Barbara was born March 14, 1964 in Waterbury, CT, and was a life-long resident of Cheshire. She graduated from the Humiston School program in 1985, and then worked for over 25 years in the laundry room at the Cheshire Convalescent Home, now known as Cheshire Regional Rehab. She was always happy to go anywhere and do anything. She enjoyed going to many sporting events, plays, concerts, the casino, and the beach. She loved to travel, but also enjoyed being home with family, especially spending time with her nieces. Besides her mother, Barbara is survived by her sisters, Debra Hackett (Robert Allan) of Waterbury and Susan Booth (Brian) of West Hartford, and nieces, Shannon Eden (Matthew) of Boston and Erin Booth of West Hartford. She is also survived by her aunt, Patricia Hackett of Waterbury, and many cousins. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her sister, Donna Hackett, and several aunts and uncles. Barbara's family would like to thank the staff at Cheshire Rehab for their compassionate care of Barbara over the past year and a half. Arrangements: Friends may greet her family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, on Thursday evening, October 6, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
