Donald Camden

Donald "Don" Camden of East Haddam, CT, formerly of Catonsville, Maryland, passed away on Monday August 22, 2022 at the age of 68. Don was born on December 9, 1953 to the late Douglas and Eileen (Andre) Camden in Catonsville and was one of ten children. He graduated from Catonsville High in 1972 and went on to serve in the US Navy on the USS Fulton AS-11. He then had a successful career as an electrician and was a member of the IBEW Local Union 90 in New Haven, Connecticut. He was also a dedicated member of the CT Patriot Guard and served as flag captain. Don had a love for baseball and tirelessly rooted for the Boston Red Sox, unless of course they were playing his beloved Baltimore Orioles. He was an avid motorcycle rider and had a passion for his Harley. He was also a dog lover and dedicated dog owner throughout his life, most recently to his cherished English Shepherd, Justice. He enjoyed watching the news and his favorite history shows and spending time with friends and family. A special thank you to his close friends, Greg and Marcia Young. Don is survived by his loving daughter Lauren Blankenship and her husband Brian Blankenship, his dedicated wife Linda Camden, his siblings, two brothers, Kenneth W. Camden, David S. Camden; four sisters, Carol A. Brown, Eileen G. Kavanagh, Phyllis M. Stromberg and Deborah L. Stultz, and as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Don was predeceased by two brothers, Douglas E. Camden and Franklin A. Camden and a sister Mary V. Miller. A graveside service will be held on August 31, 2022 at 12:00 pm in the State Veteran Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown where full military honors will be accorded.
