Doris Dombkowski

1933 - 2022

Doris Ann Williams (Stotts) Dombkowski, 88, of Burlington, widow of Casimir F Dombkowski, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at her home. Born in Glen Cove, Nassau County, NY, November 20, 1933, she was a former New Britain, Newington, and Plainville resident before moving to Burlington in 1988. Doris was employed as a store clerk for Filene's and Macy's before retirement. In youth, she was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, Newington Chapter, a Masonic affiliation. With her husband, she raised and trained show poodles for many years. In recent years, she was a member of the Burlington Senior Citizens, enjoying particularly their bingo sessions. Besides her husband "Cas", Doris was predeceased by her parents, Gladys W and Arthur F Stotts. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen D Morse (Paul), of Greenville, SC, her grandsons, Jonathan and Kelsey Morse, and a close friend and companion, August ("Augie") Pfaff of Burlington. In deference to Doris' expressed wishes, there will be no funeral and all final arrangements will be private. Her cremains will be interred in her family plot in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Rescue Foundation Inc, 366 Main St, Terryville, CT 06786, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
