Jennifer Conti Obituary

CONTI, Jennifer Lynn Jennifer Lynn Conti, 27, formerly of Manchester, entered into eternal peace on Sunday (March 1, 2009). Born on September 28, 1981, Jen was the daughter of Patricia A. Conti of Manchester and Richard S. Conti of Coventry. She was a 1999 graduate of Manchester High School and a 2003 graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. Jen was in her second year of teaching Pre-K at Sacred Heart School in Roslindale, MA. Her love of children was evident throughout her life, but blossomed fully when she began her full time teaching career. She will be remembered to her family and friends as a person who loved life to the fullest and often expressed herself through her clever, if not quirky, sense of humor. Other survivors include her stepmother, Antonia Conti; and twin sisters, Nancy Conti and Faith Conti; her brother and best friend Joseph R. Conti of Westbury, NY; her grandparents, Ronald and Patricia Ladd of Manchester; her Aunt Lin Daniels of Gardner, MA; and many extended family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart School, 1035 Canterbury Street, Roslindale, MA 02132. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 6, at South United Methodist Church, 1226 Main Street, Manchester. Holmes Funeral Home, Manchester is in care of arrangements.

I remember the day Jen was born. What an exciting day that was.
27 short years of putting a smile on all of the faces she met.
This guest book is a testimony of what a wonderful child of God she was and how she wants us to continue putting smiles on the faces of all those that we meet. Doing that she will be looking down on us with a smile on her face..
Our fond memories of her will live on forever and she will never be forgotten.
Gods Blessings to all of her family.

While it has been more than 10 years since I last saw Jen, I still vividly remember her love for life. And color-from the rainbow colored socks to the way her eyes would grow huge when excited. She certainly touched my life and I owe to her my love for wildly patterned socks, and scouring thrift stores but most importantly her free spirit and immeasurable joy. I know her spirit lives on.

I'm shocked and saddened at the news. I worked with Jen at Friendly's for a number of years and we were tight. Her quirky outgoing personality definitely had an impact on everyone she waited on and worked with. She was also very intelligent. Working crappy morning hours at a chain restaurant was more fun with her around. I'm glad she atleast realized her dream of teaching kids.

Dear Conti Family,
Jen was my daughters teacher last year in PreK. I cannot tell you how much she was loved, she would attend any of the childrens birthday parties if asked and held such affection for all of the kids. She was so instrumental in helping my daughter return to Sacred Heart for this year. My heart truly breaks for you. My daughter who is 5 now, for the past 2 days looks up to the sky and tells her how much she misses her...She was that special. God Bless and may you find comfort in your memories and eachother.
Respectfully, Lyndsay MacNeil

To My Favorite Glamazon!
You touched my life and heart and will never be forgotten. Now my days are a little less bright, but I know that you are at peace.
To your Family:
My fathers way may twist and turn, my heart may throb and ache, but in my soul I'm glad to know he maketh no mistake. My cherished plans may go astray my hopes may fade away, but still I'll trust the lord to lead for he doeth know the way. There is so much know I cannot see my eyesight is far to dim. But come what may I'll simply trust and leave it all to him. For by and by the mist will lift and plain it all he'll make. Through all the way thou dark to me, he made not one mistake.
"Rest in peace my "Cherised Friend"
You will always remain in my heart,
Much Love

It was the summer of '98 that has, and will always, stick in my mind the most. That was the year in which I had met and got to know Jen. She belonged to a pack of great friends that grew very close. We had the most amazing times! That summer and the years surrounding have always been one of the most important and influential times in my adolescence. Still to this day, I compare many things from my adulthood to those days. I am so glad that she is apart of those memories. She will be missed very much, but her laughter and spirited personality will live on in my memories...
