John Seidl Obituary
John Henry Seidl, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Carol (Dow) Seidl for 43 wonderful years. Born February 4, 1957 in New Britain; the son of the late Andrew and Helen (Noveck) Seidl.
John graduated from E. C. Goodwin Technical High School in 1975. He was a skilled Electrician. He also worked for the Hartford Courant for 33 years.
John met the love of his life, Carol in 1973. They married and moved to Winsted where they raised their family. He loved music and singing even though he was categorized a "Bluebird" in school. He enjoyed watching terrible movies and his five granddaughters meant the absolute world to him.
John was a dedicated family man with a great sense of humor always making his family laugh and smile. He is already very missed.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, Adam Seidl and wife Justine and Amanda Sogliuzzi and husband Anthony; beloved granddaughters, Savannah, Mika, Wren, Zoey and Eleanor; 8 siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 4 – 5 PM with a funeral service at 5 PM. Per John's request, the services will be casual.
