I was deeply saddened by the loss of Dick Ivey. I had occasion to work with him at the law firms which I worked for. He always had a quick joke and a ready smile. I did have occasion to talk with him when he worked at Travelers. He was truly a great friend. His spirit lives on in my heart. He will continue to live on through his wife, children and grandchildren. The World has lost a great person. He will be missed.

Dear Diane, Denise, Debra, Rich and Family... Dick was like my older brother and am so saddened by his death. All the JOKES he could tell one after the other!! Several years could go by between visits, yet after a hug and a smile, it would seem like no time had passed at all. Dick, may you rest well. Love, Cookie

Dear Diane, Denise, Debra and all the family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of one of my very favorite people. I can never remember being in Dicks company without being entertained by him. He will forever remain in my memory as the person I could always count on to make me laugh out loud. He had a very special gift and he shared it with all of us whenever he could. It didnt matter that we did not see each other often enough, just that when we did it was like it had only been a few weeks and things were always comfortable. I will keep you all in my prayers that God and wonderful memories will help you thru this time. With Love Always, Kathy

37 years ago as a frightened 16 yr old waiting in traffic court to face a stop sign violation officer Ivey approached my mother and I and asked if he could help...what followed was a 30+ year friendship between Dick and my family. He was both a gentle man and a gentleman..a rare combination. My sympathy to the entire family. We truly have lost an all around great guy.
