Salvatore Vaccaro Obituary
Salvatore P. Vaccaro, Jr., 67, of Southington, CT passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Bristol Hospital with family and friends by his side. Sal was born September 25, 1950 in Hartford, CT and was the son of the late Salvatore, Sr. and Margaret (Spadorcia) Vaccaro. Salvatore is survived by his children Salvatore Vaccaro, III of Terryville, CT and Kristen Vaccaro of Bristol, CT. He also leaves three grandsons; Caleb Nichisti, Aiden (AJ) Trudel and Harley Vaccaro. In addition, he is survived by his sister Anne Vaccaro of Newington, CT and his niece and nephew, and cousin. Sal will be deeply missed by his family and friends, especially his friend Ray Ricciardone of Southington, CT. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden and Bristol Hospital for their compassionate care. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 4-7:30pm at St. Andrew Ev. Lutheran Church, 1125 Stafford Ave., Bristol, CT, with a funeral service to follow at 7:30pm at the church. Burial will be private. The Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT has charge of arrangements. Sal and I met many many years ago. I worked for his parents, alongside Sal and his sister Anne at their restaurant for many years. lots of great memories with them. Sal is going to be missed but never forgotten. My condolences to his children and grandchildren.

Sal and I first met at the old Webb Junior High School in Wethersfield CT. We later became friends on Facebook. He was a good guy and will be sorely missed. May his memory be for a blessing.
