Sandra E. (Snow) Smith, 60, of
Windsor, CT, and previously of
Southwick, MA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 1, 2023, following a courageous battle with cancer. Sandi was born in
Montague, MA, on October 31, 1962, one of three children to Ernest R. and Janet M. (Gilbert) Snow.
Sandi grew up in
Greenfield, MA, and was a graduate of Franklin County Technical School in
Turners Falls, MA, Class of 1980. Shortly thereafter in 1986, she relocated to Southwick where she resided for many years before ultimately settling in Windsor in 2016. Sandi had an extensive career and spent most of her time employed at the Airways Golf Course in West Suffield, Yankee Candle in
Deerfield, MA, and was a hair stylist for over 20 years for herself and other salons. She enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her flower gardens, listening to music and soaking up the sun at various beaches in Connecticut and Cape Cod whenever she had the chance. She was an avid animal lover, especially of her cats, and the numerous birds that would visit her daily at her home. She was also an outstanding cook and looked forward to making her homemade soups to share with her family and friends. Although Sandi's time with us was cut short, her smile, laughter, personality, and memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends for years to come.
In addition to her mother, Janet, Sandi is survived by her three children, Ryan Smith and his wife Jennifer of
Southwick, MA, Nicolette Smith of
Southwick, MA, and Ashley Jones and her husband Josh of Colrain, MA; her partner, Gene M. French and his son, Gene Matthew French and his wife Tasha and daughter Harper of Windsor; the father to her children and friend, Les F. Smith of

Casco, ME, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her father, Ernest.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd.,
