Timothy Kennedy Obituary

Timothy P. Kennedy, 52, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Bridget Mulligan Kennedy died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Born in Omaha, NE, Tim grew up in Bethel, CT where he attended Immaculate High School. Tim earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at Salve Regina University, at which he met his wife, Bridget. He then went on to earn his law degree at Quinnipiac University and practiced law for his entire career with dedication and perseverance. Along with his wife of over 28 years, he leaves his children, Sean, Matthew, and Daniel Kennedy; parents Paul and Barbara Kennedy; sister and brother-in-law Wendi and Marc Denise; mother-in-law Sara Mulligan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Katie and Scott Cormier, Peter, and Kimberly Mulligan; nieces and nephews Kevin, Ryan, Eve, and Conor and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents and father-in-law. Tim's passions in life included cheering on his Dallas Cowboys, tinkering with cars, appreciating the value of music, and enjoying his linguine and clam sauce. Tim was known for his gift of gab and wearing his lifetime supply of Polo cologne. Amongst his routine was cleaning up the endless pots and pans left by Bridget as she baked cakes for everyone. He never did get credit for being part of all those cakes. Supporting his boys' activities took precedence, as he was a familiar sight on the sideline working the chains at youth football games. Tim valued time with family and friends, especially when shared at his cherished destinations. His upbringing emphasized the importance of family, connecting at Candlewood Lake, relishing the beauty of Newport, camping with his hometown friends, and vacationing at Hawk's Nest Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, 10 a.m., meeting directly at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 673 Ellington Road, South Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made online through GoFundMe- Kennedy Children's Educational Fund, Samsel & Carmon Funeral home in South Windsor has care of the arrangements.
