Vincent J. Pitzi

Vincent J. Pitzi, 87, of Enfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT with his loving wife Pat by his side. He was born in Lynn, MA, the son of Samuel and Lillian Pitzi. Vin attended Lynn Public Schools, and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He was stationed in Germany while serving in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Vin worked as an Engineer at Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, CT for many years, followed by several years at Jacobs Vehicle Systems in Bloomfield, CT, from where he retired. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia; children Linda (Robert) Jojo, Thomas (Yvonne) Pitzi, Ellen (Lewis) Beaulier, Michael (Sonia) Pitzi, and Jean Lug; grandchildren Emily (Kevin) Schaefer, Samuel Pitzi, Kristen Beaulier, and James and Andrew Lug; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Annamarie and James Nicosia. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 25 from 4-7PM at Leete-Stevens Family Funeral Home & Crematorium, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT 06082. A procession will gather at the funeral home at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Avenue, Enfield, CT 06082. Burial will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
