Hi Bill, I am in Farmington now. How about lunch tomorrow at Tratoria? Memories that I never forget. No problem, as we say in Brazil, "you traveled out of the combined" but we will meet soon! I miss you so much! Love you brother.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the Dowden's family and friends. Take comfort in knowing that God hears your cries and stays close to the brokenhearted (Ps. 34:17&18) during difficult times like this. May He bring peace to your hearts.

Bill (Dr. Dowden) was an outstanding educator, a getleman, always accessible for a talk, be it related to endodontics, sports, philosophy or life in general. Sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to his family.

Bill was a good person and help us out with our grandchildren when it was time for them to be treated at UCONN. I also played golf and bowling and he was always a good sport and fierce competitor. We will never forget!!!

I have the Dowden family in my prayers. The hardest part of losing someone to death is having to say goodbye. There will be many tears as you remember the good times. Barbara Shuckra

Doctor Dowden was a wonderful wonderful teacher and a true humanitarian. His endodontic expertise has been passed onto hundreds of former students along with his compassion to help people. I admired him and always have been grateful to have known him!

Bill was much more than a colleague and excellent friend at the School.
He was a brother to my family. In 1981 he honored us with an invitation for Thanksgiving dinner at his home in Avon. As Brazilians, we did not have the right idea about the celebration, but we soon understood the meaning of spending time with his family on Thanksgiving Day! We were part of the family.
That was never forgotten. Today my heart is bleeding because I am in Brazil, just out of the hospital (pneumonia) and unable to be there to give my respects to him and the family.
Rest in peace, my BROTHER.
