John Tong Obituary
He is survived by his son Andrew, daughter Katherine & ex-wife, Cheryl. He also leaves behind two sisters, Joanne Herzog (Bruce) of Reno, Nevada and Julianne Grine of San Diego, brother-in-law Tom Erickson of Lynnwood, Washington, four nieces, one nephew, and eight grand-nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly. John was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, two sisters (Sharon Moser and Merilyn Erickson) brother-in-law, Russell Moser and niece Christine (Moser) Johnson. John was active in the Elks and AA as a sponsor in Lake Havasu City.
Services will be held Jan. 28, 2023 at Hilltop Church in Lake Havasu City at 3 p.m. John's inurnment and services will be held at Upsala Lutheran Church located in rural Detroit Lakes, Minnesota on Sat. June 24, 2023 at 1 p.m. Correspondence can be mailed to 1705 Hanover Dr., Reno, NV 89523 in care of Bruce or Joanne Herzog or on Parker Funeral Home website.

So many memories of all the fun we had in our teens. I have thought of you often and still thought of you over the years. Always wondered how you were doing. I still remember your corvette with personalized plates. You were always so cool. Rest in peace Big Daddy.

John I am going to miss you. We didn't always see things the same way but you definitely made life interesting I just can't let your passing go without saying that you were very entertaining and you made me laugh (sometimes). Anyway John you rest in peace and I'll see you in the clouds. Bye for now.
